Primary Purpose of Position:
The Legal Assistant is responsible for increasing attorney efficiency and enabling the Firm to provide excellent client service, in accordance with this position description. The Legal Assistant shall coordinate office activities for Attorneys, performing a variety of legal assistant duties, such as, scheduling hearings, preparing legal documents and correspondence, docketing cases, and maintaining court dockets and diaries, filing, and providing information and direction to others. The work requires knowledge of legal, clerical, and office practices.
The Legal Assistant is responsible for assisting in moving the firm toward the following goals:
· Increasing attorney efficiency

Requirements:
· Strong Computer Skills – experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Good Oral and Written Communication
· Interpersonal Skills – ability to work with many different personalities

· Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and take proper precautions to protect information electronically and
physically
· Strong technological skills to include ability to electronically organize and manipulate documents; ability to effectively

· Strong organization and prioritization skills
· Ability to professionally, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing
· Perform duties with accuracy, quality, and integrity

· Work independently while using appropriate level of discretion to complete projects/assignments as directed

Responsibilities and Authorities:
· Perform assignments under attorney direction
· Organize and analyze information
· Organize case files including, but not limited to indexing, reports, charts, and numerical and tabular materials
· Cross-check and validate information
· Prepare written reports, correspondence, business letters, minutes, charts other documents as directed
· Interact with clients and opposing counsel as necessary to effectively perform assigned duties for Attorney(s)
· Miscellaneous projects as requested
· Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings
· All other duties as required
Education/Experience
· Associate degree, or equivalent work experience, bachelor’s degree a plus
· 1-2 years relevant legal experience to develop necessary knowledge base
· Defense litigation experience preferred
· Experience with MS Office, Westlaw, case management software, and Outlook
· Experience with document production/management software

Paralegal/Policies & Procedures Specialist, Partners Health Management
Primary Purpose of Position:
To provide executive-level paralegal and administrative services for the Office of Legal Affairs (OLA), including Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel (CLO/GC), Director of Legal Services, staff attorney(s), legal specialist(s) and waiver contract manager. Highly collaborative culture. Under licensed-attorney supervision where required, this position entails professional legal work in a variety of legal/operational areas or functions, including but not limited to legal research; and drafting, reviewing, proofing and communicating legal/regulatory matters regarding litigation, transactions/contracts, regulation, legislation, internal and external dispute resolution, grievances/complaints, and related legal projects. As detailed further below, key role will be managing Partners many complex policies and procedures (P&Ps), as well as program descriptions, plans and even assisting with board guidelines. In addition, position will require successful applicant to field, route and/or address (or to ensure attorney and/or OLA team addresses) legal issues and questions from various Partners’ business units and staff. Examples of work include coordinating all aspects of the internal Policy and Procedure process (with assistance of waiver contract manager); preparation and occasional participation in board level and committee meetings; assist legal team with their projects, including, e.g., key OLA metrics and ensure monitoring, prompt routing, payment and reimbursement of legal bills and expenses. Works with extremely sensitive and confidential information and records. Perform other duties as needed consistent with an executive level paralegal. Work closely with Associate General Counsel, Director of Legal Services, Waiver Contract Manager, Legal Specialist, Program Integrity Director, and their teams, also located in OLA. Position reports directly to Director of Legal Services.

Family Law Paralegal, Jetton & Meredith, PLLC
Description:
Family, criminal, and PI law firm in uptown Charlotte seeks full-time family law paralegal. This position involves working closely with the family law team on scheduling, file management, client correspondence and consultations, and trial preparation. The paralegal supports the attorneys throughout all phases of the department’s cases.
Essential Duties:
· Maintains all administrative standards set by the firm, including preparation and submittal of daily time entries, attendance at
administrative meetings, and other administrative tasks as assigned
· Utilizes the firm’s software and technology to update and maintain client information
· Manages multiple deadline-sensitive projects and applies various procedural guidelines of differing jurisdictions as they
